This painting has been reproduced from a copy of an auction catalogue dated 1992 and entitled, “Portraits de Musiciens, Collection Isabelle Prouvost”; it is in our own collection (see below). The painting is lot no. 52 in the catalogue.

Update: This portrait was acquired by the Hector Berlioz Museum in an auction held in Paris in May 2010.
