Berlioz’s
bust in the Opéra Garnier – 1885
This bust was made by the sculptor Émile Joseph Carlier in 1885. The photographs on this page were taken by us on 12 December 2003. An early version of this bust, made around 1880, which was in the Musée Dauphinois in France, has been restored to its original pristine condition and it is now in the Musée Hector Berlioz collection.
