Berlioz in Paris
Paris in the early 19th century
As mentioned in the main Berlioz in Paris page, the
appearance of France’s capital city has constantly changed over the years. The
two engravings below, both from our own collection, give two general views of Paris which
are probably close to what
Berlioz must have seen on his arrival in 1821.
